Friends of Strays Animal Shelter takes pride in saving the lives of abandoned animals in Pinellas County With over 100 cats and dogs visiting our shelter at any given time, Friends of Strays strives to provide the utmost love and care for every animal that comes through our doors.
Our staff is dedicated to helping the homeless animals in our care find their forever homes. We understand the unique bond that a person has with their companion animals and how that relationship can provide a sense of well-being and comfort for many years.
Founded in 1978, we are community-focused, working together to make an impact in the lives of humans and their companion animals through our many programs, including the Pet Food Pantry, Pets for Patriots, and Seniors for Seniors.
As a nonprofit organization, our lifesaving success depends on the individual, business, and planned giving donations. We thank you, the generous members of our community, for your support and concern for the abandoned animals we all love. We realize that our efforts on behalf of the animals would not be possible without you.
Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Friends of Strays has discretion as to the use of the funds and donor preferences will be honored when given. Friends of Strays is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
