Friends of Strays Animal Shelter takes pride in saving the lives of abandoned animals in Pinellas County With over 100 cats and dogs visiting our shelter at any given time, Friends of Strays strives to provide the utmost love and care for every animal that comes through our doors.

Our staff is dedicated to helping the homeless animals in our care find their forever homes. We understand the unique bond that a person has with their companion animals and how that relationship can provide a sense of well-being and comfort for many years.

Founded in 1978, we are community-focused, working together to make an impact in the lives of humans and animals through our many programs, including the Pet Guardianship Program, Pets for Patriots, and MEOW Now.

As a nonprofit organization, our lifesaving success depends on the individual, business and planned giving donations. We realize that our efforts on behalf of the animals would not be possible without you.
